It took getting to my 40's to really appreciate gold...
What the heck? Why did it take me so long, why did I shun the yellowness? I think for the longest time, trendy was all about white gold... little did I know the upkeep required, the wear and tear, the rhodium plating to keep it looking "white" - UGH, so much work!! Then there was the color, 14kt looks so blah to me, rose gold is really gold just full of copper (instant green skin for me) and then came 22kt (WOW) just wow... when you look at 22kt and see the richness, especially brushed which I am personally in love with, I haven't looked back. Working with it is such a dream, it's sunny and happy, it's bright and cheery, its honey, it's daisies, it's just magic is what it is. Until you've seen a piece of 22kt gold jewelry up close, next to 18kt or 14kt you can't fully appreciate it. Trust me, get one piece and you will be hooked for life. It's weighty, decadent and just makes you smile.
